Job Description: LIFEGUARD - Pool

· Promote the concepts of “fun” and “leisure swimming” while ensuring that the safety of the swimming public is maintained.
· Prevent accidents and injuries, save lives, and provide treatment as required.
· Be knowledgeable and proficient in the execution of emergency procedures.
· Perform pool tests according to the Ontario Public Pool Regulations.
· Responsible for attending in-services and clinics.
· Ensure all awards and certifications are current.
· Must have: NLS, Standard First Aid w/CPR ‘C’ and AED.

Job Description: RED CROSS INSTRUCTOR

· Maintain the standard of teaching of the Canadian Red Cross and the GAC.
· Promote the concepts of fun and learning while instructing only the levels for which you are qualified.
· Complete all forms required in the evaluation of candidates and distribute reports and badges.
· Responsible for attending in-services and training clinics.
· Ensure all awards and certifications are current.
· Must have: Red Cross Instructors. First Aid w/CPR ‘C’ and AED. NLS an asset.
