He previously served as Counsellor and Head of Economics, Embassy of Germany to Canada; Head of Division for Germany's relations with the European Parliament; Counsellor for Political Affairs, Permanent Representation of Germany to NATO, Brussels; and has also served in Hungary, Australia, Ukraine, Austria, and Turkey.
