Marie-France Beaudoin, art historian, will give a talk entitled Who is afraid of contemporary art? on Monday March 5 and Tuesday March 6 at 3 pm. The conference offers keys to understanding contemporary art, by showing the relationship between different periods of art history, from the Renaissance to today. Limited sitting. Marie-France Beaudoin - Co-founder of SKOL an artist-run center in Montreal, which she directed for nine years, then Director of the Centre d'exposition de Val-d'Or, Marie-France Beaudoin, teaches art history and has worked as an independent curator since 2001. As such, she has curated several exhibitions including the international exhibition, At the crossroads of Art and medecine presented jointly by the Foreman Art Gallery of Bishops’s University and the Galerie d’art du Centre culturel de l’Université de Sherbrooke in 2008.
